Chilham Parish Council is consulted regarding all planning applications by Ashford Borough Council – residents are welcome to provide comments to the Parish Council in advance its discussing applications at its monthly meetings. Decisions on planning applications are then made by Ashford Borough Council’s Planning Department (not the Parish Council!).
Anyone can comment on open planning applications, via the Ashford Borough Council Planning Portal. Go to https://www.ashford.gov.uk/planning-and-development, click on ‘View and Comment on Applications’.
From there you can search for the specific application by entering the planning reference number, street name, or any other terms that would appear in the application.
You can look at all of the related documents to do with the application, and make your comments there.
